Dear St. Patrick Catholic School Families,
VETERAN’S DAY
We will hold our annual Veteran’s Day program on Wednesday, November 10th virtually. Please
send in photos of your favorite veteran(s). Label each photo with name of student or family
and include the grade. We will return photos after the Veterans Day Program. We look
forward to honoring our veterans!
WINTER SPORTS: BASKETBALL AND CHEERLEADING
We have coaches for all three sports! If your 6th,7th, or 8th grader is interested in participating in
basketball (boys or girls) or cheerleading (boys and girls) and have not brought home an
information packet please email Micaela Shea for information [email protected].
BOOK FAIR
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school from Oct. 25th – October 29th. It is a “Student Only
Fair”. The In-School Fair will be in the Media Center each school day from 8:30am – 2:50 pm. The Fair
will also be open from 3:30pm – 4:30pm each day for Extended Care students. There will also be an
ONLINE Book Fair from Oct. 25th – Nov. 7th. Purchases from the ONLINE fair will ship directly to your

ON SITE COVID TESTING
Saint Patrick has partnered with MAKO medical to offer on-site diagnostic COVID testing. Should you
become symptomatic and need to have COVID test, I can test you on the school premises instead of you
having to make an appointment elsewhere. Once tested, MAKO will come to pick up the test sample and
have your results back to you in 1-2 days. This service is OPTIONAL and only performed on those who
are symptomatic/have been exposed to COVID AND have signed up for this service.

FOOD COLLECTION
October is considered Hunger Awareness Month and we would like to focus our attention on
those in our own community who are without food.
Thank you to all the families that donated to the food collection. We collected 805 items that
we have donated to Catholic Charities.
HALLOWEEN
On Friday, October 29th the students are invited to participate in a Fun Halloween Dress Day.
Students may wear Halloween colors and/or fun Halloween theme shirts and bottoms. No
violent or scary images allowed.
VOLUNTEERING AT ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS
We will be allowing limited volunteers in the school this year. If you want to volunteer at the
school, you must complete the volunteer application which includes attending a Safe
Environment Training (SET)class. There are some online training courses each month. Please
see below.

In addition to attending the SET training, all volunteers need to complete an application with
the Diocese of Raleigh. You can turn your completed application into the front office.

BOX TOPS
We are collecting box tops this year for our school. Please see the links below to learn more
